BudaSolar Technologies Co. Ltd. was founded in 2007 by a group of engineers and technicians, who have been in the solar business since 1997.  Our core competence is development of thin film solar module manufacturing technologies including related equipment and turn-key production lines.

Our R&D team is led by Dr. István Krafcsik, a specialist of thin film photovoltaic technologies,who spent more than 30 years in the field of semi-conductors and has focused on the PV for the last 15 years. In addition, we managed to recruit a team of engineers who gained extensive, hands-on experience in designing, manufacturing and installing thin film PV module production lines throughout the world.

As a deliberate technology provider, we consider continuous development and technological progress as crucial. Consequently, the research team is working on the development of the already available amorphous silicon and the micromorph process in a new laboratory, which will be completely equipped by the end of 2009. Elaboration of laboratory scale CIGS in-line vacuum process is also planned in medium term.  Besides constant development of the efficiency of the solar modules, we focus on improving the cost efficiency of our module factories as well.  As a result of these efforts and recognition of our successes, BudaSolar set up intensive research cooperation with several recognized research institutions and international industrial partners, too.

BudaSolar offers several turn-key solutions for production of the well proven 49” x 25” amorphous silicon solar modules. Adapting flexibly to specific market requirements, we offer different levels of automation from manual to automated production lines of various capacity. While the manual lines are highly profitable in countries with low labor costs, our concept of automated lines open space for exploiting potential of mass production on a much larger scale. Uniquely on the market, BudaSolar is one of the few companies who are ready to offer solutions of on-site TCO coatings matched to the throughput of the production factory.
